POST-HALLOWEEN RUN

It's Sunday morning. I awoke first at 3:40am.  Or would that actually be 4:40am? I don't know. The clocks went back an hour so I'm all out of sorts.  Charlie (my Black Lab) woke me for breakfast. I obviously said no. "Go back to sleep" I said.  The next time I woke was 7:20am.  Now, I felt rested, and for some weird reason it felt like a Monday and I thought to myself, 'better get up and at 'em!'.

I jumped out of bed, actually I slowly bridged and scooted to the foot of the bed, around Charlie and Chloe who were both sprawled out and then hopped over my husbands feet over the mound of clothes folded at the foot of the bed on the hope chest and finally made it to the carpet.  Phew...that was exhausting in itself.  Once I got on the floor, I put on my workout gear.  I had no idea what it was like outside but I knew it was chilly and would need long pants and shirt.

Once I was dressed, even though my body was screaming.....'OWWWWWW, my quads, my calves, my HAMMIESSSSS' from the 2.5hr workout yesterday, I proceeded to put on my runners and hit the road.

It was a cool, chilly yet refreshing temperature outside and the fresh air woke my skin and lungs beautifully!! I started out listening to some upbeat tunes on my FitRadio App which I LOVE!!! Once I hot the pond trail I thought, okay this view is so breathtaking and everytime I see it, I feel so lucky to live in a place where the outdoors like this is right in my backyard!! Beautiful Newfoundland!

I switched my audio choice from upbeat tunes to uplifting podcasts.  And it was so worth it!! The messages I received today from Chalene Johnson and Brendon Burchard were amazing! It put me in the right mindset for the day! Although today was going to be my rest day, I knew I needed this exercise, fresh air and motivation for my personal development today! It keeps me focused on my goal, which is helping myself and others live a happier, healthier life! I hope you all have the most wonderful day!
