COACHING OPPORTUNITY!!

So, you're probably wondering 'wait what? You get paid to do that'. Yeah, I know. I was surprised too!!! Well let's just start to go back to when I first started coaching shall we?!

You're obviously reading this because you're either interested in coaching yourself, or wondering what I do, or just like reading my shit. In that case, THANKS!!! Lol For those interested in coaching, pay close attention!!

So, the end of June 2015 I was just going about my day as usual, taking dogs to park, heading to gym for couple hrs, laundry, etc. What was I doing with all my time then I'll never know looking back now! The thing was, I was stuck in a plateau!!! I used to spend my free time researching different fitness routines and trying them out to see if they would fit me, I was watching YouTube channels like they were LIVE URGENT NEWS alerts!! Desperate to "skip ad" to get to the good stuff and find out some info on what workouts are best and what to eat. The thing is they were all customized to those particular people. Not me. Boo.

So after much failure at "IIFYM" if it fits your macros, this one day a friend of mine inboxed me and said "Hey Jen, are you a fitness coach or personal trainer?"
I laughed and said no!! "Why do you ask!?".  She went on to say that I was posting on social media often and working out and trying to eat healthy regularly and that is exactly what she does but gets paid to do so!!

Now, keep in mind I'm a casual nurse and so shifts are all over the place!!! Call in schedule makes for lots of time to do extra curricular things! She asked me if I wanted to become a Beachbody Coach!

I was intrigued by her reaching out to me and I asked her a million and one questions before I was convinced to give this thing a go!! At first I knew there was no real obligation to make a go of the business and it didn't cost me any money to start the business!!!! So it seemed like it was going to be okay to tryyyyyyyy. I thought long and hard about it for 4 days and decided I would give it a go. I committed to working out from home, drinking Shakeology daily and posting to social media which I already did anyways! I was just sharing my experience with others.

The scariest part honestly was changing my job info to "health and fitness coach". I felt like others would judge me!! Now, after much personally development and coifed car boosting and training I could give two shits about that!!! I could put "President of Jennifer Island" and wouldn't give a shit who saw it hahaha

Once I joined the "team" I started my training right away as I was eager then to see what it was all about!!! I went from skeptical to gung ho in one day!!!!! Of course I went and got some new pens, planner, loose leaf and binder and started to dig into my training course :) I loved every minute of it! At times it felt overwhelming as I was trying to do it all in one day!! (I don't recommend). But it was enjoyable and interesting and easy!!!!

My training took me about a week and then I chose a start date for my very own support group!!! I had 38 people trusting in me to help them reach their health and fitness goals that month!! My first month. Ahhah looking back, haha so fondly, I've come a long way!!!

I made a post each day into the Facebook private support group and had some great conversations getting to know all these people and helping to push them and motivate them to stick to their programs!! With each passing week the members were getting more and more results and so excited!! As was I!!!! Feels amazing to know I helped them feel great!!!

So sharing this opportunity with everyone is not a bad thing, I don't feel salesy, I'm not pushing it on anyone, I'm simply informing them that this is an amazing way to reach your goals and I highly recommend!!! Just like I highly recommend Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow pencil. Haha Same thing. LIFECHANGING HAHAH !!!!

Each week, I get paid money!!! Yep, cash money, right into my bank account. BAM! Every single week!! Now, as a disclaimer, Beachbody cannot guarantee any level of success for each coach. You have to put the time and effort into the business to get paid so don't even think of joining and sitting on your tush and then suing Beachbody. (People have tried. I know. It's sad).

If you're curious about what I do specifically and how I do and even how much money I make and how many hours I put into my business, chat with me about it and maybe you'll want to join my team and have me mentor you! I have great leadership skills and I'm dedicated to my members and teammates!! We're in this together! I have so much happiness and freedom in my life right now thanks to Beachbody Coaching!! I have a purpose, an outlet, relationships hat make me stronger, a huge support system, a healthier body and happier mind!!!  I want you to live a happy life where you have freedom to travel when you want!!!! Spend more time with your kids and family!!! Have extra money to do the things you love!! But the things you need!!! I know how awesome this opportunity is and wish I discovered it years ago!!! I want you to realize the potential this business has and design an amazing life for you and your family!!! Let me help!

Montreal

RIDICULUS. Just plain ridiculous.
This city is freaking amazing!! So much to do, see, eat, drink!!! I'm beyond entertained!

So far we've taken in the city downtown, watched an NHL game, went to The Chainsmokers concert at New City Gas, plus Steve has been participating into the World Poker Tournament this week!!!

Foods ranged from bagels, to pizza, to sushi and Indian food. Enjoying every minute of it and it's only day 4/9.

Love this city.

POST-HALLOWEEN RUN

It's Sunday morning. I awoke first at 3:40am.  Or would that actually be 4:40am? I don't know. The clocks went back an hour so I'm all out of sorts.  Charlie (my Black Lab) woke me for breakfast. I obviously said no. "Go back to sleep" I said.  The next time I woke was 7:20am.  Now, I felt rested, and for some weird reason it felt like a Monday and I thought to myself, 'better get up and at 'em!'.

I jumped out of bed, actually I slowly bridged and scooted to the foot of the bed, around Charlie and Chloe who were both sprawled out and then hopped over my husbands feet over the mound of clothes folded at the foot of the bed on the hope chest and finally made it to the carpet.  Phew...that was exhausting in itself.  Once I got on the floor, I put on my workout gear.  I had no idea what it was like outside but I knew it was chilly and would need long pants and shirt.

Once I was dressed, even though my body was screaming.....'OWWWWWW, my quads, my calves, my HAMMIESSSSS' from the 2.5hr workout yesterday, I proceeded to put on my runners and hit the road.

It was a cool, chilly yet refreshing temperature outside and the fresh air woke my skin and lungs beautifully!! I started out listening to some upbeat tunes on my FitRadio App which I LOVE!!! Once I hot the pond trail I thought, okay this view is so breathtaking and everytime I see it, I feel so lucky to live in a place where the outdoors like this is right in my backyard!! Beautiful Newfoundland!

I switched my audio choice from upbeat tunes to uplifting podcasts.  And it was so worth it!! The messages I received today from Chalene Johnson and Brendon Burchard were amazing! It put me in the right mindset for the day! Although today was going to be my rest day, I knew I needed this exercise, fresh air and motivation for my personal development today! It keeps me focused on my goal, which is helping myself and others live a happier, healthier life! I hope you all have the most wonderful day!

HALLOWEEN TREATS!

Totally tried my best to come up with some healthy snacks for Halloween this weekend! And I did!! And I shared it on my fitness Facebook page (www.facebook.com/shapeupwithsheppy). Now, although I found those healthy snacks and I'm all about fitness, I wanted to make something BAD!! Lol yes. That's right. Balance baby.

So I decided to make some Caramel Apples for the kids and one for me and Steve to share! Also, decided to whip up some little rice crispie pumpkins! Super cute and who doesn't love a rice crispie treat?

I used tootsie rolls for the stems of the pumpkins, spearmint leaf candies for the lead and added quite a bit of red and yellow food colouring to get the color orange just right! But ultimately took me like 15 mins!! Quick and fun snack.

The Caramel Apples however, took a while and made a HUGE MESS!!!!!!

I didn't have a lot of trouble getting the caramel to stick because I first cleaned the wax off the apples with baking soda, then I chilled the apples for a hour or so in the fridge. Once the caramel hit the cold apple it set. Great. Only thing is.....I TOTALLY forgot to immediately stock them in the salt and the Reese pieces crumbs. I realized this after the caramel had set. Duh Jen. Duh. But anyways, first time you learn. So learn from my mistake. Lol get organized before you begin. And limit distractions. That helps too!!

I decided to melt chocolate chips and drizzle over top and then add some of the Reese to stick to that. The finished product looks much cuter in the little bags but what a mess I made in the kitchen. Worth it? Meh. I dunno lol

Well, that's it for now,
Jen.
